Admission always only: $10. Students with university ID and children accompanied by an adult: $5.

L26 Restaurant is in the South Loop Hotel, has a free parking in the hotel lot just west of the building on 26th and plenty of on street, unmetered spaces. Since L26 is smaller than Room 43, you may want to get there a little early for good seats. A dinner menu is available and drink prices have been reduced for the Hyde Park Jazz Society audience. Be sure to ask for the Hyde Park Jazz Society prices.

Shirazette Tinnin has a Bachelor’s degree in music industry studies and performance from Appalachian State University. She has a Masters (in jazz studies) degree from NIU. She is a member of the graduate-level Liberace Jazztet. Shirazette had a student internship in 2002 at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops Orchestra and Quad Recording Studios. Shirazette has performed with a number of major artists, including Arturo Sandoval, Slide Hampton, Chris Vadala, and Melva Houston and Shirazette was a counselor and instructor at the 2006 NIU Jazz Camp.
